International Boundaries of Nepal
Nepal is an independent country since time immemorable. Boundaries of Nepal have been shifted time and often in the historical period. In 1806, Nepal's territory was elongated from the river on the east to Kangra Fort on the west. In 1809, the border was retreated back to Sutlej river. After Anglo-Gurkha War Nepal's boundary shrunk from Mechi river in the east to Mahakali river on the west in March 1816, However, there are conflicts, disputes, encroachments and cross-holding occupations in seventy-one places and spots in present time with India. This has been described with analysis and explanations in this book with historical maps, documents and treaties.
